Q: What exactly is IN the sensory dough? Is it safe if my child puts it in their mouth?
A: Our STORYdough is extra soft and made in the USA from food-grade ingredients. It's non-toxic, but it's not meant to be eaten. Contains wheat/gluten. If your child has celiac disease or a gluten sensitivity, please contact us before ordering. All our products are intended for children ages five and up who no longer “mouth” things. If your child still puts things into their mouth besides food or is below the age of five please wait until they're older to purchase our sensory products.
Q: What if my child has sensory sensitivities? Will they actually enjoy this?
A: Yes! Our kits are specifically designed with sensory-friendly play in mind. Our STORYdough kits provide proprioceptive input and calming tactile experiences. If you have specific concerns about your child's needs, contact us, we love helping you find the perfect fit.
Q: Are there small parts that could be choking hazards? What age is REALLY safe?
A: Our kits are recommended for ages 5+. Many sets contain very small pieces that aren't appropriate for younger children. Always supervise your children during play at any age, particularly if your child is sensory seeking and puts things into their mouths. If you have questions about a specific product and your child's age, reach out, we're happy to help you choose what's right for your family.
Q: How much TIME does this actually take? I'm already overwhelmed.
A: Most activities take 15 minutes or less at a time. Children can also play with our items independently if they are old enough and no longer put things in their mouths. We design everything to be low stress, low mess, and inclusive of all needed items. No special skills are needed, just you, your kids, and the kit.
Q: Can I use this for Sunday School or a church group, or is it just for my own kids?

Q: How long does the sensory dough last, and how should I store it?
A: Our STORYdough lasts 3–6 months when stored in an airtight container at room temperature. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat. If it dries out, you can add a tiny bit of water and knead it back to life. If it starts to smell off or develop mold, it's time to toss it.
Q: What denomination are you? Will these kits align with my family's beliefs?
A: We're United Methodist, but our kits are designed to be welcoming to all Christian traditions. We focus on core Bible stories and faith principles rather than denominational specifics. If you have concerns about theology or specific content please reach out, we want you to feel confident about what your family is experiencing.
Q: Do you ship or do I have to buy in person at events?
A: We ship! You can order online through our website and we'll ship directly to you. We also sell in person at local markets and events throughout Southwest Louisiana.
Q: Do I need to know the Bible story already, or do the kits teach it?
A: Our kits include age-appropriate story summaries and scripture references. You don't need to be a Bible expert! Each kit guides you through the story step-by-step. If you want more depth, we include where to find the full story in Scripture.
